Googling

Start by Googling yourself, and taking a look at the search results. Make sure that you look at the web, image and video results for a 360-degree view.

You might find that there are other people who share your name: put these aside, and just look at the results that are actually about you. Then think about these questions:

1. Is the information about you accurate?
2. Did you make this information available, or has someone else put it online?
3. Do the results about you reflect who you are, or just one or two things about you?
4. Is this information coming from one of your online profiles (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc?)
5. What kind of privacy settings do your online profiles have: public, private or somewhere in between?
