Travis Ross

Travis Ross is a manager in the Visualization Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is also an assistant for the Imaging Technology Group (ITG) at the Beckman Institute at the University of Illinois. He holds a bachelor’s degree (1999) with a major in 3D graphics from the Academy of Art University. He brings very rich experience as a modeling instructor, a technical artist, and a 3D artist. In addition, he worked for SCEA as a scanning manager for more than three years. As an application engineer at Geomagic, he has created immense organizational impact by offering American pre-sales application support and training. He has also supported trade shows and vendor meetings at customer sites and created training and demonstration materials for the latest product releases.

Travis Ross' interests lie in 3D scanning, modeling techniques, surfacing, and rendering. His realm of expertise spans across film, television, video games, engineering, manufacturing, CAD, and photogrammetry industry encompassing many niche areas such as:
